Jurassic Park Aftermath Chews Up Oculus Owners Soon

Stay in the car and don’t feed the animals. Facebook just unveiled Jurassic Park Aftermath, a new dinosaur-filled game coming to the Oculus platform soon.

Revealed at the recent Facebook 2020 event, Jurassic Park Aftermath is a brand new VR survival adventure that throws out the sandbox formula you might expect from a survival sim or, instead of leaning closer to something like Alien Isolation and gets up close to those sharp claws. Developed by Universal Games and Digital Platforms Team in partnership with Coatsink Games, Jurassic Park Aftermath puts you face to face with the stars of the Jurassic Park franchise. Forget the safety of Jurassic World Evolution’s top down strategy, get up in the action and say hello to some ferocious Velociraptors as your transport crash lands on Isla Nublar. With some of the best hunters history has to offer on your tail, it’s up to you to think fast and move swiftly to outmaneuver the island’s inhabitants and get to safety.

Don’t Move, They Won’t See You

Set two years after the fall of Jurassic World, somebody had the great idea to send some seemingly smart people to sift the wreckage and recover valuable research materials. Stop us if you’ve heard this one before. To survive this encounter you’ll need to explore the research facility, solve puzzles, and find ways to outsmart the ferocious Velociraptors that are stalking your every move.

The vibrant cell shaded visuals on display in the trailer above can be experienced in full VR on the Oculus Quest when it eventually lands on 17 December 2020.
