Just Cause 4, the epic action-adventure from Square Enix, is about to blow onto your PC screen again and there’s no admission price this time.
The action explosion from developer Avalanche Studios might have hit PC and console back in 2019 but anybody who missed the opportunity to check out this serious silly explode em up can grab the game for free on the Epic store later this week. The title will go free on the PC focused storefront on Thursday 16 April, where gamers who haven’t already taken the fight to this entry in the Just Cause franchise can get into Solis.
Welcome To The Jungle
Players who do pick up this free title will take on the role of series protagonist Rico Rodriguez. It drops adventurers into a massive open-world environment based on South America. What follows is an encounter with the Black hand and the leader of this mercenary group, Gabriela Morales. Rather than a placid affair, this consists of gunfire, massive explosions, and mechanized warfare. Whether players go crashing through the local countryside in souped-up vehicles or fly in from the sky in a wingsuit, there’s little that this game does in halves. If you’re looking for an over the top action romp then this is the one.
Just cause is the last full release in the series franchise. Once you’ve explored your way through the base game you can pick up a trio of DLC, even giving Rico access to a hoverboard in one case. No, it might not be realistic but some of the best titles are over the top catharsis, check out our Doom Eternal review for example. Head over to the Epic Games Store if you want to pick up mystery adventures Sherlock Holmes: Crimes and Punishments and Close to the Sun for free before Just Cause rotates in on Thursday.
