It seems nothing in the gaming sphere can be contained until the actual announcement date. Earlier in May, Walmart Canada accidentally leaked a number of games. Among them, Rage 2, Lego DC Super-Villains and Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey that have been officially announced since then. Just Cause 4 had also been among the leaked titles, and now Steam’s promo image confirms that the title is on its way.

This is the third project of Avalanche Studios announced within last month: first, we learned about the Rage successor and then a new co-op shooter set in 1980’s alternate Sweden called Generation Zero.
PCGamesN took a closer look at what can be said about Just Cause 4 based on the leaked image:
There’s little to glean from the promo, other than the apparent return of Rico Rodriguez as the protagonist. Rico appears to be equipped with the series staple grappling hook, as well as an assault rifle across his back and a shotgun at his side. There’s also a storm happening, which could either be cool promotional imagery or a hint at an in-game weather system.
