Marvel’s Avengers fans will be thrilled to hear that Kamala Khan, aka Ms. Marvel, has joined the roster as a playable Super Hero for the forthcoming game. Kamala defends her Jersey City hometown as Ms. Marvel and has been part of the IP since August 2013. She is considered a fan-favorite.
“A self-avowed Avengers fan, in the game’s original story, Kamala Khan must apply her intellect, optimism, and unique abilities to the task of unravelling a global conspiracy and reassembling her personal heroes in time to stop a new secretive organization, Advanced Idea Mechanics (AIM), before they unleash one of the greatest threats Earth has ever faced.”
Players choosing to play as Kamala will start off learning how she came about her extraordinary powers. From there, she’s off to bring the far-flung Avengers back together. As players add characters to their team, they must learn all of their abilities and rebuild/customize their teams “to face increasingly growing threats”. The only way to defeat threats is to work together.
Marvel’s Avengers is on track to launch for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Stadia, and PC on May 15, 2020.
