Destiny 2: Shadowkeep
Vanguard is indeed noticing activity on the moon. And Eris Morn contacts them and informs them that a greater danger awaits them on the Moon than they could suspect.
Zavala gathers a large army using vehicles and launches an offensive on the moon.
And during the assault, the guard discovers a burial place – the Pyramid. Which then begins to create nightmares for the Guardian, the ghosts of the Guardian’s past. We have to fight Ghaul, Crota, and the Fanatic again.
Eris Morn says that you need to find a way to get inside the Pyramid. Although she herself is tormented by nightmares, they appear to her in the form of her dead battle group. After collecting the necessary equipment, the guard enters the Pyramid and again fights nightmares there. And then he discovers a certain female statue in one of the rooms, and an artifact not far from it, upon approaching which he is enveloped in a vision.
After that, the artifact is studied by Eris Morn herself and reports that she has connected with a signal from Black herself. And during the “Garden of Salvation” raid, we penetrate the garden, and after fighting with the Vex we find another Pyramid. And inside the same female statue. And at this time, Eris Morn clings to the first Pyramid on the Moon and interacts with the statue, while receiving some kind of power …
Our victory over the Vex in the Garden of Salvation raid provokes an attack by the Vex on the Moon and the resurrected Eternal Mind leads the attacks. Ikora Rey is building ports right in the city that allows all the guards to fight him in all timelines, and in this way, we stop the attack on the moon.
And at the same time, the powerful magician Osiris is in the future in which he finds the Pyramid that destroyed the last city. According to his calculation, it should have happened in 20-30 years, but recent events accelerate this process. And after that, Osiris went to the last city to communicate with the Vanguard.
Destiny 2 Season of Dawn
In the absence of Osiris, 3 psions of the sister of the Red Legion penetrate Mercury. And seizes the device “Sundial”, they split time in an attempt to revive the Red Legion for a new attack.
The Vanguard sends a Guardian to stop him. And as it turns out, Osiris himself created the Sundial in order to revive the fallen comrade – the titan Saint-14, but nothing came of it. And we naturally agree to help and find Saint in one of the projections of the past. And after the rescue, he goes to the city.
After that, we are again in the corridors of the Sundial and find our grave and a fragment of the Bastion rifle. After destroying 3 sisters, we gain access to the core of the sundial, thereby starting the process of “Solar Recovery” – the accumulation of some energy by the core, and after the process is completed, we light the beacon on Mercury and after that, the “Test of Osiris” event appears. Osiris himself went to the military mind of Rasputin to find out which side he is on in the battle with Darkness.
Destiny 2 Season of the Worthy
Zavala, together with Anastasia Bray, detects a small Cabal sabotage group that has penetrated the Cabal ship, the Almighty, which has hung from the events of the original game.
And in an attempt to find out their intentions, they learn that the Cabal has activated the self-destruct protocol and set the coordinates of the flight to the planet Earth, directly to the last city.
Anastasia Bray reports that the Vanguard has only one chance to stop the ship – the intervention of Rasputin’s war mind. But his weapons are scattered all over the system. Therefore, we must penetrate the network of secret bunkers and return control to Rasputin.
Zavala is skeptical about this idea to arm Rasputin, but there is no other choice.
On our way, in one of Rasputin’s bunkers, we find data about the Iron Lord – Felwinter, get his weapon, and find out that Felwinter was created by Rasputin himself to study people. To be his eyes in the city. However, after his death, Felwinter was resurrected, completely losing his memory and losing control of Rasputin, and therefore he tried to destroy him, with the help of Siwa. Rasputin opens up to the Vanguard and they begin to understand its capabilities and complete the preparation of weapons.
After that, Zavala comes to him to ask for help for the war with the Dark Fleet.
Destiny 2 Season of Arrivals
And shortly after, the system is invaded by a fleet of Pyramids and Rasputin tries to stop them, after which he shuts down.
After it was clear that to prevent Eris Morn goes to the IO to meet the first of them but goes missing. And the guard goes in search of her, and upon the arrival of the Guard, one of the Pyramids tries to take on board. But this is unexpectedly prevented by Savathûn who takes the guards to the Throneworld. And getting out of it, he finds the wounded Eris Morn. She informs Zavala that when trying to make contact with the Darkness, Savathûn interferes in the matter and requires extreme caution.
In an attempt to learn more about the Darkness, the Drifter invites the Guardian to visit the Nine through the portal on his ship and ask them the question “What is darkness”. And so the event “Revelation” appears. And there, the Nine indicate those places that the Darkness will soon touch – namely, Io, Titan, Mercury, Mars, and they also talk about the influence in the Dreaming City by showing the throne of Queen Mary.
While the Guardian helps Eris Morn decipher the messages that Savathûn carefully hides, the Pyramids are invading Titan, Mercury, and Mars. We help to evacuate and also talk to the leaders, help them collect data, however, only Anastasia Bray agrees to leave the planet, the rest of the leaders or our contacts refuse to evacuate.
And after these events, the Guardian returns to Eris Morn with all the data, and once again visiting the world of Savathûn, he encounters Nokris, the rejected son of King Oryx. Having defeated him, he does not return as usual, but gets to Eris Morn, but sees a vision given to him by Darkness. Through the ghost, she speaks to the guard:
Soon The Traveler begins to recover, which attracts the attention of all the inhabitants of the city and the guards, and when the pyramids are very close to the city, The Traveler emits a wave of light and thereby fully recovers, but other planets plunge into darkness.
And this incident is called the “second collapse”.
Destiny 2 Beyond Light
The Guardian arrives in Europa in search of the Pyramid as he was told in a vision. But it’s getting a signal from an old friend of Variks. After recapturing the immobilized Variks from the enemies, the Guardian learns that Kal Eramis is going to gather all the houses of the Fallen under his banner. At first, she promised to give them a new home on Europa in the city of Reese, but then her mind began to cloud over from the presence of Darkness, having mastered the energy of Stasis, she wanted to teach all the Fallen to use it. But not everyone liked it, and they began to make attempts to escape from Europe.
During the execution of Variks’ assignments to free the Fallen, that mysterious voice contacts him and says that he has a Gift for the guardian.
And at the same moment, Eris Morn and The Drifter arrive on the planet. They date Elsie Bray, better known as “Exo Stranger”. She is the sister of Anastasia Bray. Together they fight against the underlings of Eramis and as we can see they also use the energy of Stasis against enemies.
Elsie Bray explains that energy can be used for good, Light is not always Good, and Darkness is not always Evil. And gives him a shard and then learns to control Stasis. Variks will become disillusioned with the Guardian, he thought that he should stop the fallen House of the Fallen led by Eramis and will not use the same methods to their advantage. And to prove to Variks that the Guardian controls Stasis and not the other way around, he starts hunting down the Eramis Generals and weakens her Army.
Realizing this, Eramis activates the portal with the Vex to hold back the guards, soon the whole city is teeming with Vex and that’s when the Guardian catches up with her and defeats her.
The Exo-Stranger tells the guard that she came from a parallel universe of the future where all the Stars have abandoned the Light and become Dark. And then the Guardian goes inside the Pyramid, accepts stasis as part of his strength, but at the same time does not refuse the Light. Now the Guardians own both, and now the balance of power will not shift in one direction or another.
Exo Stranger talks about the new raid “Deep Stone Crypt” and finds inside the statue of a woman the same as on the Moon and inside the Pyramids. During which Cloves Bray’s AI attempts to obstruct the Guardian and bring down the orbital station on Europa, he is prevented by the Guardian.
Shortly thereafter, the mind of Cloves Bray awakens on Europa, who created the concept of Exo science, and as it turned out, not all of the original Exos were turned off of their own free will, and one of the victims was Elsie Bray’s granddaughter – Exo Stranger. Cloves’ AI agrees to work with the Guardian, and we also learn that he has transferred his consciousness to the Banshee-44 of the Tower gunsmith.
Destiny 2 Season of the Hunt
Simultaneously with everything that is happening, Warlock Osiris is studying the consequences of the second collapse. And he reports the observations to the Vanguard, and his attention is attracted by a strange activity on the Moon – the Hive Cryptolith, which subjugates all other creatures, the same structures are in the Dreaming City. These structures are the work of Savathûn’s sister Xivu Arath, she has been hunting ever since Savathûn expressed a desire to get rid of her worm, which is heresy for the Hive.
Osiris goes alone and falls prey to the High Celebrant of Xivu Arath, who strips him of his light to try to save Osiris, his ghost Sagira sacrifices himself and drives off the High Celebrant of Xivu Arath. In a fit of place, he catches up with him and sends a signal to the Vanguard asking for help.
The Guardian finds Osiris and the following happens:
We find out that he serves the baron of the tangled shores – the Spider, but not of his own free will, in fact, he is a hostage, so he set a bomb in the ghost of the Raven, which will kill him and deprive him of light.
The Spider and the Guardian make a deal, the Guardian must clear his lands from the Xivu Arath Cryptolith, and as payment, he promises any item from the lair. Raven joins the Guardian and helps get rid of and find the High Celebrant of Xivu Arath. Having successfully defeated him and having cleared the lands, we return to the Spider to report that the mission is completed, the guard asks to release the Raven.
Destiny 2 Season of the Chosen
A Cabal fleet arrives in the solar system, but another, led by Calus’s daughter, Kayatl, invites the Vanguard to negotiate during which she wants to conclude an alliance against the Hive and Darkness, everything was fine, but the Empress said Zaval to bend the knee, to which he did not agree.
The Empress strengthens her position by creating arenas in which she invites all the Cabal, the Vanguard reacts to this to check and stop if it would be dangerous. The Vanguard also creates a special team of the Guardian, Zavala, Osiris, whose Raven is fully trained by Osiris, and Amanda Holliday (the head of technology in the Tower). Defeating the guardians week after week and defeating champions in different parts of the system, Kayatl again gets in touch and invites the Vanguard to join her Empire. But he also gets rejected.
After a long time and also hampering the forces of the Empress, Raven, and Osiris intercept a message saying that soon “Zavala will accept his final death”. The raven goes to warn him but Osiris stops him, don’t bother him for now.
And indeed, Zavala was really attacked, and right within the walls of the city, the psion got very close, but Raven saves him. What annoyed Osiris, and after that the Vanguard decides to perform in the Arena according to its rules. And the Guardian was chosen as a representative, and the representative of Kayatl wins, and after that, the Empress must agree to an agreement, but already under the terms of the Vanguard. But the following happens:
The Last City and Kayatl conclude a truce, and others are recognized as traitors (those with whom we fight).
Destiny 2 Season of the Splicer
After the Guardians’ rituals of proof with the Cabal, the Vex have somehow plunged the Last City into the endless night, threatening the safety once found by humanity under The Traveler’s watchful presence. To counter them, Ikora Rey and Osiris call on the Guardian to ask for help from a possible ally: Mythrax, a Kell from the House of Light, and one of the last Sacred Splicers. As a member of this order, he possesses the knowledge necessary to combat the Vex technology that has trapped the Last City.
The Guardian managed to find Mythrax on Europa while he was trying to provide a safe retreat for the Elixni refugees from the House of Salvation, but was ambushed by the Vex. After meeting with the Guardian, Mythrax asks for help in “blinding” the Vex so he can lead his citizens to safety. The Guardian agrees, and using Mythrax’s special device, the Splicer Gauntlet, he enters the Outer Nexus. Under Mythrax’s guidance, he manages to kill the Subjugated Curator in charge of the domain, gaining data for the study, and escaping before the Vex can strike back. Rallying against a common enemy and realizing that Mythrax and his House of Light are different from the other Fallen, Ikora Rey offers Mythrax and his House a safe haven in the Last City, which the Kell gratefully accepts.
Over the course of several months, the Guardians, under the leadership of Mythrax, constantly invade the Vex domain and battle many of their Minds, gathering data that could explain the nature of the Endless Night. Over time, Saint-14 reconciles with Mythrax after listening to the story of the Fallen versus Guardians from Eliksni’s point of view. Lakshmi-2 also abandons her hostile intentions after several weeks of arguing with Ikora and after the Guardian succeeds thanks to Mythrax.
From the data obtained by the Guardian, the Vanguard and Mythrax discover that the real architects of the Endless Night are the possessed Quria, the Dormant Mind under the command of her mistress Savathûn. Eventually, Mythrax manages to figure out Quria’s location and lure her into a trap, giving the Guardians a chance to destroy her. After defeating Quria, the Endless Night over the Last City gradually dissipates.
Lakshmi opens a Vex portal in the Eliksni quarter. The Vex kill Lakshmi and attack the Last City. A Guardian fireteam arrives in the Vex quarter and successfully closes the portal. Saint-14 and Mythrax fight off the remaining Vex and protect the Eliksni. Zavala, Ikora Rey, and Amanda Holliday come to the rescue and help end the battle. All this is watched by Osiris, who does not take any action. From Lakshmi’s messages, it becomes known that it was he who told her how to “safely ” open the Vex portal.
Dead Orbit leaves the Last City in their fleet, New Monarchy joins them. The cult of the coming war has been disbanded. Citizens and Eliksni of the Last City mourn those who died during the Vex attack. The Vanguard and the House of Light set up a memorial in the Tower. Eliksni Houses of Light become residents of the Last City. The Vanguard and the House of Light form an alliance.
Osiris disappears.
Destiny 2 Season of the Lost
Osiris goes to the Dreaming City. Ikora Rey orders his arrest in order to interrogate him about the events that took place in the Last City. Saint-14 and the Guardian go on a mission. Raven joins them. The Guardian encounters the Possessed and Wrathborn Xivu Arath named Kelgorath.
The Guardian, Saint-14, and Raven encounter Osiris and Mara Sov. Saint-14 and Raven offer to surrender to Osiris, but Osiris refuses. It turns out that under the appearance of Osiris, Savathûn was hiding, which finally reveals itself. Mara Sov encases Savathûn in an unknown crystal.
Mara Sov tells the Guardians that she has made an agreement with Savathûn. Mara must rid Savathûn of her worm. In return, Savathûn will free the real Osiris and help in the war against the Pyramids. The Witch Queen tells the Raven that the whole time he knew Osiris, it was she. Saint-14 travels to the Last City to report to the Vanguard.
Mara explains exactly how she is going to rid Savathûn of the worm. To perform the ritual, she will need the tech-witches who, shortly before the events of the season, helped Mara return to the Dreaming City. Unfortunately, the tech-witches disappeared during the Xivu Arath attack. The Guardian must bring back the surviving tech-witches.
Savathûn, in turn, is in a shackled state at all times, which keeps her from being starved by her worm, but at the same time, she can communicate with those who come to her. And in one of these meetings, she says that she is not an enemy to him at all, but on the contrary, she saved Osiris, and then she wanted to know us better. Mara learns by studying the Scorn that Savathûn does not rule them, but they still follow King Oryx.
Raven starts asking questions about Mara, and Mara says that he is cornered by his past. Desperate to find answers, he secretly visits Savathûn and she grants him a vision of his past. And he asks to go as far as possible to understand himself. He is sent to Kayatl and becomes an intermediary between him and the Cabal.
By this time, the Guardian has rescued the seven tech-witches, reuniting the entire coven of Mara Sov. From now on, the participants in the events await the “galactic alignment” that the tech-witches must set up in order to kill the Savathûn worm. The Witch Queen asks the Guardians to continue protecting the ley lines from the forces of Xivu Arath who have swept in to kill her.
Savathûn has escaped, Osiris is with us, and Mara says she will continue to work to remove the curse from the Dreaming City.
