Bluehole Studio will drag us into dangerous territory with its latest mobile adventure, coming in 2024. The developer behind PUBG: Battlegrounds and PUBG Mobile revealed its latest project at this year’s G-Star event. The massive gaming conference based out of Busan played host to a first glimpse of Dark and Darker Mobile. This brand new twist on survival extraction titles adds in a dungeon crawling element to give potential players a rather unique experience.
Based on what the studio revealed, a blend of dungeon crawling mechanics and battle royale competition will collide with deep RPG mechanics to give players a ton of ways to play. Five classes are available to choose from, and players can take any of the Fighter, Barbarian, Ranger, Rogue, and Cleric into the field. Hidden treasures, unique environments, and emergent gameplay all lie ahead of each run and could change the tide of fortune. While getting in and out without another player cutting you down seems like enough pressure, the encroaching Darkswarm draws in, meaning exit portals become scarcer over time.
