Side-scrolling titles were some of my favorites when I was growing up in the late 80s early 90s. Mario, Sonic, lots of titles were built this way due to the technology of the time. Developer Pixel Perfex, decided that it was time to hit the skies with a new title Krut: The Mythic Wings.
Vera is your main character. A Krut warrior that wants to stop a warlord named Zulla from taking over his home. In this action-RPG you will attack monsters with quick attacks, combos, and attacks from the air.
It is your job to defeat six powerful enemies as you travel through each level trying to save your homeland. Restore the ancient magic of the Silver Wings.
“Krut: The Mythic Wings is lovingly based on the story told in the beautifully animated Thai film Krut: The Himmaphan Warriors,” said Ben Lee, co-founder of Blowfish Studios. “The team has worked passionately to showcase not only a classic hero’s tale, but also to proudly represent the historic customs of their local region. Coupled with classic speedrun-friendly platforming, Krut makes a culturally significant and nostalgic package.”
This title will release on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and on Steam as well. It comes out July 12 as revealed at the Indie Live Expo.
