The original The Last Remnant came out worldwide in 2008 for Xbox 360 and a year later for Windows PC. It was the first Square Enix’s project to use Unreal Engine. The PS3 version has been announced but had never been released.
In September Square Enix had announced The Last Remnant Remastered for PlayStation 4 – a version with updated graphics that will include all of the content released for PC. With the release planned for December 6, Square Enix is releasing trailers to show off the game.
