During last night’s The Game Awards 2019, Square Enix revealed a brand new trailer from Final Fantasy VII Remake. The trailer stars the game’s main protagonist, Cloud Strife, and provides viewers with a peek at his evolving story.
“Originally hired by the resistance group Avalanche in their fight against the sinister Shinra Corporation, Cloud Strife becomes embroiled in a much deeper conflict and proves he’s more than just a mere mercenary.”
Final Fantasy VII Remake is a PlayStation 4 timed exclusive that will launch worldwide on March 3, 2020. Players on other platforms will have to wait until March 2021 to play, though we are unsure as yet which platforms the keenly anticipated title will land on. Keep your eyes on the official site to learn more.
About Final Fantasy VII Remake
The world has fallen under the control of the Shinra Electric Power Company, a shadowy corporation controlling the planet’s very life force as mako energy.
In the sprawling city of Midgar, an anti-Shinra organization calling themselves Avalanche have stepped up their resistance. Cloud Strife, a former member of Shinra’s elite SOLDIER unit now turned mercenary, lends his aid to the group, unaware of the epic consequences that await him.
The story of this first, standalone game in the FFVII Remake project covers up to the party’s escape from Midgar, and goes deeper into the events occurring in Midgar than the original.
