The latest update has been deployed to Final Fantasy XIV. Patch 5.05 brings a healthy dose of content to players. This includes a new raid, a new dungeon, several additional crafting recipes and more.
High-level players will be able to turn their attention to the newly added Eden’s Gate (Savage) raid. The raid is specifically tailored to those players looking for a greater challenge. They will pit their talents against some of the game’s most difficult bosses.
As many as eight players can try out the Dungeons of Lyhe Ghiah, a treasure hunt dungeon. It offers a chance for both exploration and the opportunity to “obtain rare and unique rewards”.
Other notable inclusions in today’s patch:
- A new currency called Phantasmagoria is available. It is used to purchase new gear for Disciples of War and Magic.
- Several new crafting recipes are available thanks to updates to Free Company Crafting and Subaquatic Voyages.
- Various jobs have had balance adjustments deployed.
- New housing items, furnishings, mounts, minions and more are added.
Lastly, those looking for some seasonal fun can look forward to the return of Moonfire Faire. It is currently set to kick off on August 7th. “By completing event quests, players will be able to receive a variety of rewards.” Details are promised to come soon.
