League of Legends Goes Solo With CONV/RGENCE: A League of Legends Story

League of Legends, the smash hit MOBA multiplayer fro Riot Games, is expanding with another new solo title. Meet Conv/Rgence: Aa League Of Legends Story.

Announced via a teaser trailer at the Game Awards 2020 last night, this new League of legends experience is yet another title that Riot is adding to their clutch of upcoming games. After announcing three new titles were coming back in October this year the developer seems to have been hard at work but this particular outing for the developer is actually the work of studio Double Stallion and published by Riot Forge.

Solo Action

The single-player game announced displayed in the CONV/RGENCE trailer that dropped introduced a colorful action platformer that puts players in the role of League character Ekko. Ekko will be well known to League aficionados but for the rest of the gaming world, Ekko is a young inventor that has manufactured a device that can manipulate time. Normally a damage dealer with the ability to mess with time, Ekko is described as follows on the League website.

A prodigy from the rough streets of Zaun, Ekko manipulates time to twist any situation to his advantage. Using his own invention, the Z-Drive, he explores the branching possibilities of reality to craft the perfect moment. Though he revels in this freedom, when there’s a threat to his friends, he’ll do anything to defend them. To outsiders, Ekko seems to achieve the impossible the first time, every time.

The consequences for Ekko will play out over this title as gamers run, gun, and think their way out of trouble.

We don’t have a final release date for the title as yet or a price but out of all the Riot titles that have been announced of late it is the one we’ve seen that I’m most enthused about and will be ready to get into this bright world. You can find out more about CONV/RGENCE: A League of Legends Story at the official website or keep it here for more on the Game Awards 2020.

For those of you who I’ve not met yet, my name is Ed. After an early indoctrination into PC gaming, years adrift on the unwashed internet, running a successful guild, and testing video games, I turned my hand to writing about them. Now, you will find me squawking across a multitude of sites and even getting to play games now and then
