The wait is almost over. The final chapter of Arcane kicks off on November 9th with the release of Act 1. It will be followed by Act 2 on November 16th and Act 3 on November 23rd. Arcane Season 2 continues after the explosive finale of its 9-episodes-long predecessor. And things are quite different now, both in the City of Progress, and for the characters that live in the twin cities.
The first season introduced viewers to the world of Runeterra. The events of the show take place in the twin cities of Piltover and Zaun. Known across Runeterra as the “city of progress,” many of the most brilliant minds call these cities home. But the creation of hextech, a way for any person to control magical energy, threatens that balance. Unrest stirs as inventors and thieves, politicians and crime lords chafe against the constraints of a society torn asunder. Two sisters, Vi and Powder, find themselves in the middle of this conflict.
