LEGO Star Wars Battles announced for mobile devices

Star Wars Battles

LEGO is making the move to mobile devices with yesterday’s announcement of LEGO Star Wars Battles. The upcoming game will feature action-strategy gameplay with some of the most iconic “characters, vehicles, and locations” from the Star Wars universe.

According to press information, players will be able to “mix and match characters and vehicles from all eras” of the galaxy to build a deck with a focus on Light or Dark side. From there, it is off to battle in real-time 1v1 multiplayer battles with other players. Gameplay will see the construction of towers and the deployment of troops with the ultimate goal of destroying an opponent’s base while simultaneously defending one’s own.

Players will run into and recruit some of the IP’s most iconic characters including Luke Skywalker, Rey, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Boba Fett, and Darth Vader. But it’s not just big names either. Players will also be able to recruit Porgs, Stormtroopers, Battle Droids, AT-ATs, TIE bombers, and the Millennium Falcon. Locations include Scarif, Naboo, Hoth, Endor, Geonosis, and many others.

There’s no specific release date for the game except “2020”. We’ll keep you posted as more is revealed. Look for it on both Android and iOS devices.
