The Torchlight Frontiers beta has been updated to bring a number of quality of life improvements and bug fixes to the game. The team at Echtra considers this the latest milestone achievement in the development of the game.
Quality of life improvements are applied to games to make the player experience smoother and more intuitive. To that end, Echtra has added a number of things that should make for smooth sailing ahead. These include:
- UI gamepad improvements and support;
- improved gamepad support in combat;
- Character Select sorts so that the most recently played character is at the top;
- quest status after traveling appears much faster;
- trait display table has been cleaned up;
- the welcome screen only shows once per session
Of course, every update comes with a number of tweaks to gameplay and this one is no exception. The three available classes have all received a balance pass and have been tuned slightly. Monsters have also received a number of updates to smooth out gameplay.
