Line Reveal Quantum Knights Among 5 New Games

Line Games, took to the internet last night to unveil monsters, mayhem, Quantum Knights, and online adventure among 5 new games.

Line might not be the first publisher on the lips of western audiences, but the Tokyo subsidiary of Softbank group took to the stage last night and unveiled 5 brand new titles. With entries across PC, console, mobile, as well cross-platform play, there should be something worth watching for plenty of players.

Quantum Knights

We’re going to details each of the titles so you can add them to your watchlist. The first of these to get a trailer is my personal pick, Quantum Knights. Bringing together the medieval fantasy genre with first-person shooters, this stunning trailer for Quantum Knights thrusts potential players into a realm where demons, ogres, and magic exist and so do big shiny guns. Wielding magic and buckshot this marriage of Destiny style shooter mechanics and traditional RPG magic across a huge open world, Quantum Knights offers stylish action based on shooter game’s dynamic combat and movement mechanisms when it hits PC in 2022.

The Vanshee

The Vanshee is an upcoming online RPG destined for PC. Developed in Unreal 4 and looking stunning for it too, The Vanshee looks to be a free-form hack and slash that doesn’t appear to tie players into any particular class while they define their loadout and begin to cut their way through waves of particularly unfriendly locals. We don’t know much about the narrative here, but the trailer seems to indicate the fate of a young girl might be involved. Whatever the goal is, we can glimpse the trailer and dive in when it hits Early Access later this year.

Crystal Hearts 2: Compass of Dimension

Yet another RPG, this time developed by mobile megaliths Netmarble, Crystal Hearts 2: Compass of Dimension, is an adventure and sequel to 2016’s Crystal Hearts. Taking place in the world of Arkan, this follows on from the original is set to take the aesthetic of the first and blend it with 3D graphics, letting players take their party on even more adventures. This is definitely one for mobile players when it arrives in 2022.

Undecember

yet another RPG, Undecember is a top-down hack and slash that might look familiar to fans of the Diablo series. Firmly entrenching itself in the dark fantasy genre, this PC and mobile quest will invite cross-play adventures in a realm where surviving an onslaught on enemies requires more than just button bashing. You’ll also need to understand the intricate item and skill systems to make it through. The continued use of the Unreal 4 engine by developer Needs Games reminds us of early teasers for potential Aion and Lineage mobile titles before Revolutions hit screens of late. You can find out more about Undecember when it hits mobiles and PC platforms in Q4 2021.

Project Household

A new console project for Studio Largo of Line Games, developer of Buried Stars (2020), was also revealed today. Currently, under development as an Adventure RPG, Project Household is set in modern-day Seoul and will revolve around the story of a group of psychics. We don’t know much more than this and the trailer, above, doesn’t give us much more either.
