The developers from Riot Games have shared the latest League of Legends: Wild Rift champion overview dedicated to the Ruined King Viego. Once he makes it to the Rift on May 8th, he won’t stop until everybody shares his pain. Are you ready to Ruin your enemies?
A thousand years ago, Viego was a young, untested king of Camavor, an empire of aggressive conquerors. Self-centered and immature, but also immensely powerful, Viego was the target of an assassination attempt. Instead of freeing Camavor from a useless king, the blade found his wife Isolde, and in doing so set the world down the path to ruin.
In a desperate attempt to revive his love, young Viego brought Isolde to the Blessed Isles to use the Waters of Life. However, his actions instead brought forth the Ruination – a blast of dark power that devastated the islands, from that point on called the Shadow Isles, twisted the inhabitants into monstrosities and unleashed the Black Mist.
These events and Viego’s own fate had been explored in a number of ways: the Sentinels of Light cross-game event, the Ruination novel, and the Ruined King: A League of Legends Story being the prime examples. Now Wild Rift is exploring the same story through the latest patch 5.1: Beyond Ruination.
- Sovereign’s Domination (Passive). Killed enemies become Wraiths. Viego can control them, gain their health and basic abilities.
- Blade of the Ruined King. Deal bonus damage and strike twice (passive). Activate to impale enemies.
- Spectral Maw. Charge and dash. Release a ball of Black Mist to stun an enemy.
- Harrowed Path. Command Black Mist to haunt an area, gain camouflage, move speed and attack speed inside of it.
- Heartbreaker (Ultimate). Teleport to the lowest health enemy and attack, dealing damage and slowing the target. Knock back other enemies with a shockwave.
