Lords of the Fallen just added Clash of Champions, a free content update for this dark fantasy.
The incredible tale of two worlds, Lords of the Fallen, isn’t ready to let you live in peace quite yet. Crusaders can leap back into try out try out and update that throws down the gauntlet to players looking for the ultimate challenge. The newest free addition adds two previously unannounced ‘boss rush’ modes that bring the biggest baddest horrors to this dark fantasy action-RPG.
Coming just after the final part of the post launch roadmap, Master of Fate, there’s an opportunity to replay singular boss battles with previously vanquished foes or confront them sequentially in one of several gruelling trials. ‘Echoes of Battle’ allows players to take down their favourite boss encounters, including Ellianne the Starved, Congregator of Flesh, and Radiant Sentinel. The rush mode is called ‘Crucible’. Crucible is a series of six progressively punishing encounters that must be vanquished without any deaths. Success means rewards, including Shrine Currency and exclusive new armour tincts.
This unexpected addition is a bonus for fans creeping around a world devastated by corruption, since it landed last year. Developer CI Games completed an extensive array of post launch content just this year with the Master of Fate instalment. Anybody that picked up Lords of the Fallen at launch has already had over 30 post-launch updates, significantly improving performance, stability and difficulty balancing across the board and adding in tons of in game modifiers to keep the carnage going. Lords of the Fallen impressed us with its mix of accessible challenge and incredible worldbuilding. and it just seems to keep on giving. If you want something a bit more direct than the sprawling lands of Elden Ring but just as engaging, this is still worth your time.
