Lords of the Fallen, a Souls-esque brawler that battered its way onto PC and consoles is set to return for a brand new adventure. CI Games has announced that the Polish publishing house will partner with Defiant Studios to deliver more monsters and melee mayhem to our screens.
CI Games, the team behind Sniper Ghost Warrior, originally created the 2014 Lords of the Fallen along with Deck 13 Interactive. It followed the exploits of Harkyn, a criminal forced to face off against the underworlds hordes for unknown reasons. Taking precedent from other Dark Souls iterations around at the time, it attempted to add its own flair to the genre, with some overpowered combos and a risk-reward system. Now it is up to Defiant to build on Lord of the Fallen’s solid start.
While we do not know much about the new game, we do know that the team behind it has some real pedigree. This brand new studio is helmed by David Grijns, one-time studio head for Just Cause 3, and brings a mix of experienced AA vets and fresh talent to their team. It’s going to be interesting to see what Defiant manage to cook up when Lords of the Fallen returns to PC and consoles once more. For now, you can keep an eye on thing over at the CI Games website.
