Not long ago I took a look at one of Lucidsound’s newest headsets, the LS25. It’s a great piece of kit but for anybody who doesn’t want to be tied to the desk, Lucidsound has just opened up pre-orders for their latest wireless set, the LS41.
Coming in as the natural successor to the Californian firm’s LS40 wireless range, the LS41 look likely to continue with Lucidsound’s signature approach to peripheral design. Built to perform well in a range of environments, the LS41 are compatible with PC, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and mobile gaming platforms. The cans come packed with a 2.4GHz connection, that Lucidsound describes as “rock solid”, and feature DTS® Headphone:X® 7.1 Surround Sound for enhanced combat capabilities. A 3.5mm jack comes over from previous LucidSound models alongside the removable boom mic, providing connectivity to Nintendo Switch and mobile platforms. Alongside the familiar 3.5mm jack and familiar Lucidsound styling, the LS41 includes Lucidsound’s unique integrated control scheme that impressed me so much in the LS25s.
New to the LS41 is a significant jump in battery life and improved audio drivers, designed to give a longer stronger experience for gamers who want a bit more freedom. Long sessions should also be easier on the ears with redesigned ear cups, intended to improve overall comfort and noise cancellation.
The LS41 represents a flagship headset design for Lucidsound. It mixes the sort of style and specification that screams premium, but without the racer-boy RGB that you might avoid in the subway. Pre-orders for the Lucidsound LS41 are already open and headsets are expected in January. If you want to find a retailer or check out more details, follow our link to the official website.
