Lumote: The Mastermote Chronicles Leaps Onto PC & Console With March Release Date

Lumote: The Mastermote Chronicles has a release date and is due to jump into action on 24 March.

Due to land on Pc, Playstation 4, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, and Google Stadia Lumote: The Mastermote Chronicles is the full launch and the culmination of Lumote’s time in early access. After publisher Wired announced Lumote in 2021, gamers can now pick up this gorgeous underwater adventure in its final form. Taking control of a cute little bioluminescent creature, players picking up this complete version of the title will find a whole new bunch of additions for the March release. Additional narrative, new challenges, extra collectibles, and an entirely new game world where you’ll play as the mighty Mastermote.

The release also includes everything that players have been able to get their hands on during early access, challenging them to squish, bop, and bounce through the Great Depths, Along the way plenty of other deep-sea inhabitants will cross the screen. These Mote’s are adorable and oddly shaped, bioluminescent entities that live by the rhythms of an electronica soundscape. It’s up to one unique rebel, Lumote, to take control of other Motes and solve the puzzles hidden below the sea to stop this peaceful environment turning red.

This might not sound as epic as saving green Hill Zone, but Lumote is undeniably cute and the soundtrack by award-winning composer Paul Ruskay is worth picking up on its own. In an obvious segue, you can also pick up the new limited print double vinyl for Lumote: The Mastermote Chronicles, featuring key moments from the game and limited to 500 pressings. Sheathed in meticulous illustrations from artist David Sossella, it is available to pre-order now via the Wired Productions store for £35 / $45.
