EA has announced that a brand new game mode has been added to Madden NFL 20. Called “Superstar KO”, the mode is considered “a fun and fast way to play and the perfect companion to the start of the NFL regular season”.
Players taking part in Superstar KO will be able to play solo or in squads with friends. The idea is to set up a strategy, draft players, and “conquer opponents to steal their best players”. The best part is that it’s a literal pick up game that lasts only about five minutes. It sounds like a great way to jump in for a short period of time and earn tangible rewards.
Superstar KO will be available for free beginning September 5th and be able to play through September 9th. After the trial period ends, the new game mode will only be free to those who have XBox Live Gold or PlayStation Plus.
The Twitch Prime Crown Cup also begins on September 5th. The live event will be held at Grant Park in Chicago. “Fans attending the NFL Kickoff festivities in Chicago can stop by to watch NFL greats, music superstars Lil Yachty and Juice Wrld and top Twitch streamers compete. The athletes, musicians, and streamers will also team up with a few lucky fans to see who can reign as the gridiron champions. Attendees will also have the chance to play the new Superstar KO mode with NFL legends Ahman Green and Devin Hester before the tournament gets underway.” Even those watching on Twitch can take part in the fun and even unlock Twitch Emotes.
