Magic: Manastrike Cast Onto Mobiles Now

Magic: Manastrike

Wizards of the Coast have summoned a brand new mobile experience to iOS and Android. Magic: Manastrike is out now.

With a whole array of new Magic: the Gathering games announced around the turn of the year, this new Magic title takes a slightly different turn on the traditional combat of Magic. Manastrike takes the vast lore behind the Wizard’s successful fantasy card franchise and creates a fast paced PvP strategy experience. Easy to pick up, at least at first, a series of dynamic three minute matches borrow the powers of the Planeswalker, allowing players to summon units and cast familiar spells with a tap and drag design that is clearly designed for mobile formats. The iconic Magic: The gathering cards are translated into high quality 3D art and detailed with five mana colors of this title, making it quite clear which deck is suited to any encounter.

Unlike many fantasy games, players picking this magic game up won’t necessarily find themselves playing the hero. Set in a parallel universe, where the Planeswalkers are trapped, gamers will form a pact with one of Magic’s most infamous villains. As an agent of Nicol Bolas, players will cast cards and uncover the Planeswalker’s secrets before each three minute match ends.

To celebrate the launch of Magic: Manastrike, publisher Netmarble and Wizard’s of the Coast are busy rewarding pre registered players with Gold (in-game currency), Gems (premium currency), one Player Icon, and ten emoji themed after Magic: The Gathering’s Planeswalkers. Players just picking up a deck for the first time today can still get involved in the other launch events and grab some rewards.

  • Gold, Gems, and Card Packs will be given to players for seven days
  • New Planeswalkers
  • Ob Nixilis: Players can achieve this Planeswalker through Magic Pass upgrade
  • Calix: Available for purchase regardless of Magic Pass
  • An all-new Gideon skin
  • Theros-Themed Map: In celebration of Magic: The Gathering’s new Theros Beyond Death expansion, an all-new Theros-themed map is available for players over Rank 5 to experience.

Magic: Manastrike is out now for free and Netmarble’s first venture into the world of the Planeswalkers looks pretty dam cool. If you want to draw a hand and try out this title, head over to the official Manastrike website or grab it from the Apple and Android Storefronts.
