There’s a new Pokemon game in town that stars none other than Magikarp. Set to launch later today, the game sends everyone’s favorite floppy fish on a big jumping adventure.
Magikarp Jump & other Pokemon
You don’t have to worry that you won’t see other Pokemon. According to Eurogamer, within just a few minutes playing, more than a few made appearances including Pikachu.
Your job as the player is to make sure your flopster is well fed as well as trained to gain higher stats. From there, it’s off to jumping battles against other trainers.

As you work through the game, you’ll unlock other creatures, items for the fish tank, power-ups and new skin patterns.
But what sets this game apart from most other mobile games is its revenue model. There are, of course, shop items that can be purchased with real-world cash including time saving boosters and cosmetic items. However, there is a game lifetime limit to how much can be spent. Once the $100 cap has been reached, that’s it. No more can be purchased from the shop ever.
