Nintendo just released a new Mario Kart 8 Deluxe trailer, highlighting the game’s new battle modes, the sheer amount of content included (48 tracks, 40+ racers) – including new racers like King Boo, Bowser Jr., Dry Bones, and the Inkling Boy and Girl from Splatoon.
Also noteworthy? You’ll be able to unlock a Golden Mario racer if you beat all of the game’s races on their hardest difficulty. Golden Mario is more than likely just a “gold” version of the existing silver, but hey… status symbol for all you online racers.
Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is due to launch on the Switch on April 28th. It’s full-priced, but there likely won’t be any bonuses or discounts for folks who already owned the game and its DLC on the Wii U.
