Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020, is about to throw together two of gaming’s icons in a unique adventure. Sega has just unveiled more details about this dastardly plan as Mario and Sonic take on Bowser and Dr. Eggman

The dastardly duo of Bowser and Dr. Eggman are getting ready to unleash an evil invention that will pull players into a 2D world. Trapped by the Tokyo ‘64 contraption, gamers will find a world themed around the 1964 Tokyo Olympics. The only way to escape is to explore this old new world, beat the mini-games, and make it back to 2020.
This new information follows the 2D story mode that features in Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020, The new game is set to take players around many of the iconic spots in new and interesting ways. On the way to beating Dr. Eggman’s invention, sonic and Mario will be able to experience lots of fun minigames that use familiar Tokyo landmarks in unexpected ways, like climbing Tokyo Tower, finding the yellow Toad at Shibuya Scramble, and seeing if Sonic can out-race a bullet train.
The latest story mode addition to Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020 is just one of the fun features in this sporting title. There are tons of activities to take part in through 202 including:

- Surfing – Shortboard
- Swimming – 100m Freestyle
- Table Tennis
- Triple Jump
Players will also be able to take part in a ton of 2D classics, find lots of Sega characters. Mario, Sonic, Luigi, Knuckles, Peach, Amy, Dr. Eggman, Yoshi, Tails, Metal Sonic, Donkey Kong and more feature. With lots of events, a new story mode, and multiplayer competition you’ll be able to bring the joy of Tokyo Olympics home.
