Mario Selling Switch for the Holidays in New Trailer

MARIO

Super Mario Odyssey stars in a new trailer sent out by Nintendo. In it, some of the game’s iconic locations and moves by the erstwhile plumber. Add in a goofy pun with Cappy and “capturing” imagination, and you have something to whip fans into a frenzy.

It’s a terrific ad that’s sure to get kids (and more than a few adults) ready to ask Santa for a Switch.

Super Mario Odyssey

Super Mario Odyssey is the first game for the Nintendo Switch. It’s also the first game in the series where the he will finds himself in the real world of New York City, on a quest, as ever to rescue Princess Peach from Bowser.

In Odyssey, players embark on a new journey through unknown worlds, running and jumping through huge 3D worlds in the first sandbox-style game in a long while. NYC won’t be the only world he visits either.

Our own Bill Murphy scored it 10/10 saying:

If there is any one thing “wrong” with the game, it’s that Motion Controls are indeed something essential to completing challenges or getting certain Moons. Some folks won’t want to ever use them, and in some controller configurations, they can be a pain to pull off. Handheld mode, for instance, does not make it easy to do Cappy’s twirl attack. But overall, I cannot find anything worth complaining about. Visually, Odyssey stands head and shoulders with some of the PS4 and XB1’s best. Its music and soundscape are pitch perfect, and each new world you visit brings a new sense of awe and wonder to your smiling face.
