Netease reveal new maps, a new villain, and a fantastic set of heroes coming to Marvel Rivals Season 1.
Get ready for some superhero action when Marvel Rivals’ first round of post launch adventure comes to screen on 10 January. The developer behind this uniquely themed arena shooter has revealed that players are about to face a new big bad and see New York in a different light. During a developer update, which you can catch on YouTube, Creative Director Guangguang and Lead Combat Designer Zhiyong introduced players to Eternal Night Falls.
Players picking up the fight will face off against the prince of darkness. Dracula reigns over the realm of New York City and it’s up to players to save this thread in a series of fractured timelines. While eternal night looms over this city and the Darkhold causes chaos, players can experience the first chapter in an epic saga across a fractured multiverse in mere days.
Content
Aside form beating back Dracula, players can expect a total of 3 new maps, a n extra game mode, some fantastic character additions, and a new battle pass. The action begins with the release of Mister Fantastic and The Invisible Woman. These two new characters add a Duelist to the action and a Strategist. Mister Fantastic’s cellular elasticity normally allows him to stretch his body beyond all physical limits. You can check out the release trailer for Mister Fantastic below and keep a close eye out for the release of The Thing and Johnny Storm later in Season 1.

In addition to the new maps, expect a new Arcade Mode, title Doom Match.
