Razer has released a Razer Blade with an 18 inch display topping out at 4K in the era of the Steam Deck.
Best Get those squats in, you’re going to need it for Razer’s mammoth 18 inch laptop. After announcing an eight-armed gaming chair, Razer dropped some seriously big laptop news. Ther Razer Blade 18 is the 2024 follow up to the iconic Blade 16 and 14 gaming laptops that now bundles in top end hardware and the world’s first 18 inch 4K 200Hz display for a unique on the go gaming experience.
The Hardware
Beneath the Blade chassis are two big screen options. An 18-inch 4K 200Hz display with a UHD+ resolution, 3.0ms response time, and DCI-P3 100% color gamut is available. Alternatively, owners can spec the latest team green laptop with an 18-inch QHD+ 300Hz Mini-LED alternative.
Powering this display is anything up to an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 GPU and an Intel® Core™ 14th Gen i9-14900HX. That unlocks as many as 24 Cores to power through ray traced gaming in the big leagues, but there’s still more. Alongside Razer Chroma integration and plenty of RGB, Razer’s biggest vapour chamber and a 3 fan cooling system should keep peak performance in the likes of Cyberpunk 2077, while WiFi7, a THX spatial audio 6-speaker array, 2 NVME slots, and up to 64GB DDR% RAM, and more are all crammed into 21.99mm of laptop.
The Why
At a whopping $3099.99USD / €3599.99 MSRP we wouldn’t expect any less, but you’ve got to ask who is going to get this stunning piece of hardware out in the airport lounge for a little light arcade action. If you are looking to go out and go big then forget Steam Deck compatibility and ditch the Switch. Head over to the Razer website for more now.
