Melvor Idle, the Idle RPG inspired by Runescape, launches across PC and mobile today with the release of version 1.0
Leaving Early Access behind and stepping out on PC and mobile platforms today, Melvor Idle is a unique take on the idle clicker. Forget cookies or laid back tactical RPGs, this new adventure cuts its cloth from the likes of Runescape. This announcement follows shortly on from the news that Runescpae developers Jagex picked up this idle take and are publishing the game under their new Jagex Partners label. For fans of the idle genre and the iconic MMORPG, this represents a fitting partnership and a homage that won’t require you to give up working to make the endgame.
Players who jump in now will find a world, filled with tons of challenges. Countless dungeons are open for exploration, holding a plethora of bosses to dispatch. You’ll need to utilize the game’s endless combat system and eight dedicated Skills to overcome these encounters. Non-combat veterans will note 15 non-combat skills to train, all with individual mechanics and interactions. The version 1.0 update adds an Astrology skill, a brand new tutorial system, and extra end game content to this huge world.
Despite the idle nature of Melvor Idle, I’m excited to get into the action and try something that isn’t at all like the rest of the mobile idle market. If you look back on your days in Runescape but just don’t have the time to master Slayer Skills any more then check out the Melvor Idle Steam Store page for more, or have a glimpse a the trailer above.
