Microsoft to Publish PUBG on XBox One But What About PS4?

PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds is coming “exclusively” to XBox One. The announcement was made during Microsoft’s Gamescom conference yesterday. But what does this mean for PlayStation 4?

No one is really sure…

Chang Han Kim made the announcement but a lot of folks are sort of confused.

Back in June, we announced that PUBG will be launching exclusively on Xbox One in late 2017.  I’m happy to announce it now includes Microsoft as the publisher for our PUBG on Xbox One.

Our team believes that we will be able to accelerate console development, while maintaining quality across all platforms, as well as giving us access to vast sales, marketing and publishing resources that will help us reach new fans.

We will be launching exclusively on Xbox One in the Xbox Game Preview program later this year and we can’t wait to see all the Xbox fans on the battlefield.

Readers and players are somewhat confused, however, as the wording is a bit vague. Are PlayStation 4 players going to be left out in the cold? Does “exclusive” mean that it will be coming out earlier on XB1 and, hopefully, later on PS4? No one knows for sure and the developers are being a bit cagey in answering direct questions.
