Sometimes you have to see it to believe it. In this case, the amazing new Harry Potter Minecraft map created by Floo Network is a sight to behold. The map recreates Hogwart’s School of Witchcraft and Wizardry complete with gloomy candlelit hallways, the grand staircase, fluttering owls, the best-known classrooms, and even the great hall. The map is packed with life — students in the great hall, owls fluttering about, candles floating in air. It’s an impressive effort on the part of modders.
Modders aren’t just making pretty visuals either. This is a full-blown experience for players as they can take quests, solve puzzles, trade with others, find secrets and mysteries, and much more. Further, it is a fully multiplayer experience that can be shared with friends. For those who prefer a solo experience, yep, that’s available too. If Hogwart’s isn’t your style, you can also head off to Diagon Alley or The Burrow or to visit the Weasley’s.
Floo Network has done players a good turn by creating the entire experience using vanilla Minecraft so that no other mods will be required in order to enjoy the fun.
Developers are hoping to release the map later this month, though there is no specific date announced. The best part is that they will be releasing it for free. It just doesn’t get better than that.
