Nintendo has sent out a brand new trailer in celebration of the launch date for Monster Hunter Stories. Players will finally be able to get their hands on the 3DS exclusive on September 8th.
It’s Monster Hunter…but different
This time around, players will not find a cooperative action game, but rather a turn-based RPG. Each player becomes a “Monster Rider” whose job it is to collect eggs and hatch them. Think of a mother hen here.
Once hatched, players need to use each creature’s special abilities as well as take them along to investigate the world. In addition, they are fearsome fighters so they’re worth the time.
Other features that will be more familiar with series fans include:
- armor and weapon crafting
- side quests
- multiplayer battle mode
If you’re the sort who likes to “try before buy”, you’re in luck. Nintendo also revealed that a demo would be out in the 3DS Shop on August 10th. The best part is that all progress is saved so if you like it and buy it, you’ll be able to pick up where you left off.
You can learn more about the game on its official site.
