Cold Symmetry has announced that it’s Souls-like ARPG Mortal Shell will officially launch on August 18th for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC via the Epic Games Store for $29.99. A Steam version of the game is planned for later in 2021. The game had a successful beta run with over 350,000 downloads, 6 million Twitch views, and, at least according to one intrepid PR writer, “over 350,000,000 deaths”. Players looking for an exciting challenge will definitely want to check this one out.
The release announcement was made via a brand new trailer that showcased a weapon not previously seen. The Ballistazooka is a ranged weapon that can launch heavy iron bolts at “devastating speed”. It can impale enemies and literally pin them to the walls. In addition, viewers get a new look at some of the enemies they will be challenged by as the game unfolds across a diverse landscape. Lastly, the fourth Shell, Solomon is introduced.
