Moss Book II, the follow-up to the mousey VR adventure Moss, is set to come to the Meta Quest 2 VR headset in summer 2022.
Players preparing to splash out on a PSVR to experience the sequel to one of VR’s very best tales might be happy to hear that Moss Book II is set to land on the Quest 2. The news that the next chapter in the Moss franchise is set to arrive on this cable-free VR platform came several years after the initial 2018 instalment launched on PSVR and comes accompanied by a brand new trailer. You can check out what’s in store for our tiny protagonist above.
The trailer formed part of the Meta Quest Gaming Showcase and teases the continuation of the original story. In this turn, Quill has barely rescued her uncle Argus. However, a winged tyrant is hunting her in the very same castle. It’s up to players to use all their wits and guile to turn this plan on its head and bring down this threat. Moss Book II also adds a bunch of enhanced systems to this story extension, promising more immersion and physical connection to the world when leveraging the two-controller setup of the Quest 2. Players are promised new friends and allies, old acquaintances, and maybe an end to the Arcane rule.
For those that picked up a Quest 2 more recently, or just missed the original launch of Moss, this means that there is plenty of time to catch up on the first chapter. Our review of Moss still stands up at a whopping 9.5 score. If you’re ready to dive in, Moss is now on sale at 20% for a limited time. Players can wishlist Moss Book II on the Oculus Store or grab it now on PlayStation VR.
