While MultiVersus is known as one of the ultimate PvP “beat ’em up type games, developers are offering players a new way to engage with the game. Warner Bros. Games has released a brand new trailer that takes a peek at the upcoming “Rifts” system that allows players to take a cooperative break from PvP mayhem.
Each rift is comprised of several stages and offers players unique twists to keep the action interesting. For instance, they may run into bosses in unexpected places or have to solve puzzles or tackle a mini-game. Each chapter features various nodes that consist of battles, challenges, and unique modifiers for combat. Finishing objectives and winning matches nets some sweet rewards, including gems that can be used to improve stats and grant special effects.
Rifts also allow players to learn character mechanics alongside each one’s strengths and weaknesses. They can test out new characters, sharpen their skills, and much more before jumping back into PvP competition.
Rifts will launch into MultiVersus on May 28th.
