Warner Bros. Games has announced that MultiVersus Season 2 has officially kicked off, and that a brand-new playable character is coming to the game shortly. Marvin the Martian is part of the Season 2 antics and should provide players with new ways to engage with the game.
Marvin the Martian, as the name implies, comes from the planet Mars. Always well-mannered, Marvin still packs a punch thanks to his Illudium Q-36 Explosive Space Modulator. In addition, he’s got a powerful blaster and spaceship-summoning abilities. While he’ll be part of Season 2, there is no release date for his arrival.
Season 2 will also see the release of a Game of Thrones map that will allow players to toss opponents away from the Iron Throne. It will also feature Westeros-based hazards and a cool remix of the iconic theme music. As with Marvin, we know that the GoT map will be part of Season 2, but no release information is available at this point.
The Season 2 Battle Pass is available at this time and features a variety of free items for players to unlock. Players reaching various levels of Battle Pass mastery can unlock the Baker Street Tom & Jerry variant, Tea Time Reindog variant, and the Pixel Finn profile icon. Those who purchase the premium Battle Pass can earn Astronaut Velma, Maestro Bugs, and the Arya Yawn taunt. Battle passes include 50 tiers of rewards that include the above as well as other in-game goodies.
Several new store items are now available as well. These include the Samurai Batman, Evil Morty, and Fern Finn.
The Fall Showdown 2v2 tournament series is coming this weekend starting November 20th. It will feature players from North America and Europe and will offer winners a slice of a $60,000 prize pool. Find more details here.
