Yesterday marked another year that puts us closer to the invasion of the Reapers, and it is high time to celebrate all things Mass Effect with N7 Day 2024. From the Milky Way to Andromeda, you can fight like a Krogan, run like a leopard, but you’ll never be better than Commander Shepard.
N7 Day 2024 is on the quiet side even for Bioware’s standards due to the recent release of Dragon Age: The Veilguard, the latest installment into the series of beloved fantasy RPGs. However, the developers still prepared some surprises for the community, including new merch available through Bioware Gear Store, some cosmetics for the Veilguard, collabs with No Man’s Sky and Destiny, and more!
Let’s check out the celebratory message from the official Bioware blog, and dive to see what exactly is out there.
“November 7 has arrived once again, and as always, we’re grateful for the opportunity to celebrate all things Mass Effect! This year is a little different, as we just launched Dragon Age: The Veilguard as a studio; so we’re purposefully keeping things lighter as we celebrate the launch of the game (speaking of which, you may notice a small treat from the Mass Effect team in Dragon Age: The Veilguard if you check out a new chest inside the Lighthouse).
There is some cool new merch in our BioWare store and we have partnered with No Man’s Sky and Destiny 2 to bring back a couple fun cross-promos in those games. Be sure to check our social channels for all the details.”
N7 Day 2024 News & Additions Include:
- New drops at Bioware Gear Store, including the Bookends you can see above. Also features Wrex wearing the gorgeous OG Phoenix Armour in all its glorious pink and white.
- Normandy SR-1 takes to No Man’s Sky again as a part of the collab.
- Destiny 2 features some Mass Effect-themed cosmetics for free as well. This is not the first time that the two studios collaborate together, earlier this year Destiny also got Mass Effect-inspired outfits and emotes.
- And perhaps the biggest reveal this year: Mass Effect TV series is officially confirmed to be in development at Amazon.
As reported by Variety, the production gathered an interesting list of names: EA’s Michael Gamble, Karim Zreik (National Treasure, The Defenders, and Daredevil), Daniel Casey (Fast and Furious 9) and Ari Arad (Borderlands, Iron Man, Ghost in the Shell) are said to be joining forces to deliver a series that is “based on the best-selling sci-fi video game franchise from EA“.
Currently, there are no further details such as cast or plot or even the general approach of the project. Are we getting a full-blown adaptation, something like the First Contact War, or something new yet? Unknown, Commander. Stay tuned!
