NCSoft has announced a brand new MMORPG in the form of Lineage W. While short on details, we do know a few things including the fact that it is being planned for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, PC, alongside iOS and Android mobile devices. The goal is to release the MMO sometime in 2021.
Developers also revealed that pre-registrations have started that will net players in-game goodies. These include:
- Adena x100K
- the Red Knight’s Ring I
- the Red Knight’s Support Chest
- an Enchant Scroll Chest
Other features include:
- the game is a direct sequel and expansion of the Lineage universe and is a “compilation of the IP over the last 24 years”.
- full 3D graphics, battle, and pledge systems expand on the original games
- a dark fantasy world in quarter view, immersive storylines, diverse narratives, and improved content
- a single build for the global market
- real-time AI translation
- cross-platform play between PC and consoles
