New Netflix Series Kayko and Kokosh is getting a video game, launching in 2022.
Anybody who has just discovered the brand new Netflix animation Kayko and Kokosh will be able to continue their time with this bright twosome when the series spawns a video game in the first quarter of 2022. Due to land on the Nintendo Switch, the new title is set to be a unique combination of the coloring book, interactive comic, and visual novel. While that might not immediately appeal to players looking for a bit more action, there’s some serious pedigree behind it, with former CD Projekt RED writer, Magdalena Kucenty on board for the adaptation.
The news of the latest Netflix gaming tie in arrived late yesterday, just a day ahead of the series launching globally on the streaming platform and we know that the adventure will draw players into a colorful world of Slavic fantasy. It will, of course, follow the story of the eponymous two warriors that do everything they can to defend their beloved castle of Mirmilovo from attacks by the evil order of Knaveknights. Don’t expect anything quite like Game of Thrones spin offs. Kayko and Kokosh is a decidedly less visceral experience, adding ten comic strips picture everyday life in the castle and its surroundings, with cute and magical creatures that live there, and allowing players to simply unwind and enjoy the cartoon antics of these TV stars.
For those that haven’t seen the Netflix Series pop up yet or aren’t familiar. This Polish Asterix and Obelix debuted in comic books written by Janusz Christa in the 1970s and quickly gained great popularity in Poland.
