Cuphead, originally released for Xbox One in 2017, has been a juggernaut indie game that captivated millions around the world with its hand-drawn art and challenging gameplay. Since release, it has subsequently arrived on PC and on Nintendo Switch while treating players to its enchanting game world.
Because of its success, the game caught the attention of Netflix that wanted to see those charming graphics brought to TV screens everywhere. The announcement of the animated series made by Dave Wasson was made about a year ago but, since then, news about the show has been hard to find. That is, until today. Netflix has released a brief teaser for the show along with the news that Tru Valentino will be in the title role with Frank Todaro taking on the role of Mugman.

Here’s a bit of what we had to say about Cuphead: “Let me put it this way: every unrelentingly cute and well-animated object hates you and wants you to die. They will throw parts of themselves at you to kill you. They will cry on you to kill you. They will claw their way back from the grave to kill you. THEY WILL MOCK THE VERY FABRIC OF REALITY IN ORDER TO KILL YOU.”
