Netflix’s Narcos getting the video game treatment

Curve Digital and Kuju have announced that they are working collaboratively with Netflix to bring a video game adaptation of Narcos to players in fall 2019. Called Narcos Rise of Cartels, the game is being prepared for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, and Nintendo Switch. Pre-orders have already opened on each platform’s digital store.

To celebrate the big news, developers “smuggled a pair of new trailer over the border”. Called Choose Your Side, the videos show the perspective of both the Narcos and the DEA.

The game is centered on the events from the series’ first season. Players will take the side of the Medellin Cartel or the DEA, each with its own unique campaign. It takes place in the 80s in Columbia. Gameplay asks the player whether they’ll fight to see the rise of the cartel or if they’ll work to topple the empire.
