Cryptic Studios and Gearbox Publishing have announced that Neverwinter has been updated with a new module. Northdark Reaches is a new storyline created in collaboration with R.A. Salvatore and Geno Salvatore. It features beloved characters and iconic locations from Dungeons & Dragons Forgotten Realms. Players on both PC and console can dive into the action to discover new content to explore.
To introduce the MMO community to Northdark Reaches, Cryptic released a new trailer to showcase gameplay, locations, and characters.
Players will discover the Northdark Reaches, “a sprawling frontier that skirts the Underdark’s fallen civilization of Ched Nasad.” In this deadly and forgotten place, players will journey alongside Braelin Janquay, a friend of Bruenor Battlehammer. A drow scout has gone missing and it’s up to players to help King Bruenor uncover secrets behind a looming drow civil war. This is an all-new region of the Underdark with a storyline that will conclude in 2023 with the game’s next module update.
