New Dragon Ball Fighting Game Coming To Mobile In 2018

Following on the success of last year’s Dragon Ball Fighter Z, Bandai Namco has announced their next Dragon Ball game, Dragon Ball Legends, will be coming to iOS and Android in 2018. Utilizing the Google Cloud Platform, players will battle in real time against rivals from around the globe without the fear of lag diminishing the gameplay. Fan favorites Goku, Piccolo, Pan, Vegeta, Frieza, and Nappa have already been revealed, along with an original character designed by Akira Tokoyama.

Bandai Namco has tailored the interface and game mechanics specifically for mobile play. Gone are the intricate button mashing combos of the console games, replaced by a simplified system utilizing attack cards. Each character will come with its own unique set of attacks, initiated by tapping one of the cards displayed across the bottom of the screen. Characters will have melee, ranged, and special attacks, and tapping multiple cards in sequence will create devastating combos. Pre-registration for the upcoming beta is already available on Google Play and the Apple App Store, with release planned for this summer.
