New Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree CGI Trailer Reveals a Mystery

FromSoftware and Bandai Namco have released a brand new trailer for the upcoming Elden Ring expansion, Shadow of the Erdtree. The CGI trailer showcases the game’s lore and sets the stage for players ahead of the DLC expansion’s release on June 21st. This should be especially interesting given the story’s two authors: Hidetaka Miyazaki and George R.R. Martin.

The DLC sends players into the Realm of Shadow to explore a completely new adventure filled with mysteries and danger. Of course, that means that players will encounter new bosses and find new weapons and armor to help defeat them. Developers have said that the DLC allows players to explore “the dark side of the Elden Ring.”

The base game will be required in order to play the expansion. Players can pre-order a copy or it comes as part of several bundles that can be purchased or have already been purchased by base game owners. Shadow of the Erdtree is headed for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC via Steam.
