New Games on Nintendo Switch This Week: Assassins and Zombies

This week, Switch gamers that have been looking for some big name titles and long awaited remasters have a lot to look forward to in the form of two high profile games featuring Zombies and Assassins.  Along with several exciting zombie-centric titles, don’t forget to check out what Nintendo Switch Online has with their throwback games. Resident Evil, Resident Evil 0, And Resident Evil 4 Are Coming to Nintendo Switch

Resident Evil (Remaster) / Resident Evil 0 / Resident Evil 4:

Release: May 21st 2019

Resident Evil fans should be nothing less than elated when a slate of titles releases to the Nintendo Switch May 21st. Not only will players be able to see the remaster of the original title that started a franchise that has transcended a decade, but they will also be able to play two Resident Evil titles that were highly popular on the Nintendo Gamecube.

Resident Evil (Remaster) – The original 2002 remaster not only featured reimagined HD environments and characters but also enhanced vocal performances to create an even more terrifying retelling of the original story.

Resident Evil 0 – This prequel details the events aboard the Ecliptic Express, which led up to the Mansion Incident depicted in Resident Evil. This ambitious title featured various mechanics that were new to the series, including the partner zapping system, which allows players to switch between the two protagonists on the fly.

Resident Evil 4 – In RE4 Step into the shoes of Leon S. Kennedy as he shines a light on the grim transformation of a European village while searching for the President’s abducted daughter. Resident Evil 4 introduced an over-the-shoulder camera and responsive action mechanics that continue to influence the series.

Team Sonic Racing

Release: May 21st 2019

If you’ve never played Team Sonic Racing, but you’re a fan of fast paced arcade style racers, don’t miss out on what will be an exceptional racing title by SEGA USA. Players can expect to “face off with friends in intense multiplayer* racing, race together across stunning worlds and work together as a team by sharing power-ups and speed boosts.” With three different character types and a lot of vehicle customization options, players will be certain to get a lot of playtime out of this premiere racing title.

Assassins Creed III: Remastered

It’s time to return to a game that returns to a time in history where you play as an assassin that returns his enemies to their maker. Ubisoft presents Assassins Creed III: Remastered to the Nintendo Switch, where players take control of “Connor, an assassin who has sworn to secure liberty for his people and his nation. To do so, you will hunt your enemies across a staggeringly large, open, and realistic world.” The only way Assassins Creed can be better, is by being able to take it and play it everywhere with you on your Nintendo Switch!

Atelier Lulua ~ The Scion of Arland ~

Release: May 21st 2019

In this 4th installment of the Arland series, mystery and adventure await as players “will revisit the nostalgic world of Arland and embark on exciting journey of alchemy together with Rorona’s daughter, Lulua.” With a graphically beautiful world, and a host of unique characters, this much awaited title will be sure to delight fans of the Arland series wholeheartedly.

Gunlord X

Release: May 22nd 2019




In this port of Gunlord X, look forward to much improved gameplay as you shoot your way through 11 stages of 2D mayhem. With new bosses, secrets, and challenges, players will also be happy to know that “the game received an intense “Hi-Bit” overhaul for modern game consoles in a widescreen format.” Releasing at 9.99, Gunlord X is nothing less than a good time.

The Last Door: Complete Edition

Release: May 22nd

Are you a point and click horror fan?  In this pixelated point and clicker, The Last Door – Complete Edition “includes eight terrifying episodes of occult and otherworldly horror inviting you to investigate Victorian England’s deepest, darkest secret. Chicken Rider

Release: May 17th 2019

In this unique and wacky title, players will take the guise of a polar bear fighting for chicken freedom as he aids his feathered friends in an escape from the Chicken Farm. Unfortunately “during the attempt of chicken liberation, not everything is working according to the plan. Our hero accidentally turns on the alarm and he is forced to flee on the only one vehicle left… the chicken.” Get power-ups, and earn outfits in this plucky endless runner title.
