New Games on Nintendo Switch This Week – Dad Daters and Mario Makers

Nintendo is steaming along with some fantastic games hitting the e-shelves of the Nintendo eShop.  Sure, there is a lot more to look forward to this year, but this weeks games have a lot to offer the Nintendo gamer looking for something a little different.  We’re going to start this week with a big title that’s out right now! That’s right, Super Mario Maker 2 is available for immediate purchase! Interested in more information? Red Faction Guerrilla Re-Mars-tered

How’s life on Mars lately? Probably not great seeing as how that oppressive Earth Defense Force is back making havoc for you and your Martian transplants.  In Red Faction Guerrilla Re-Mars-tered you’ll get to “re-define the limits of destruction-based game-play with a huge open-world, fast-paced guerrilla-style combat, and true physics-based destruction.”  Red Faction was one of the original shooters to offer destruction style gameplay, check out its predecessor in the remastered version July 2nd!

Dream Daddy: A Dad Dating Simulator

Lets date us some dads! If you’ve never said that before, maybe it’s time to say it now? Yes? In Dream Daddy: A Dad Dating Simulator, find the daddy that’s right for you. Will he wear an eye patch? Does he make bad dad jokes? Does he have a really big.. nose? In Dream Daddy you’ll be able to “go out with Teacher Dad, Goth Dad, Bad Dad, or any of the other cool Dads in this game! In Lucah: BoaD, you’ll get to “master a deep combat system that blends ranged- and melee-action with rich customization. Explore an atmospheric world of repressed memories and unspeakable feelings. Lay waste to the Nightmares in a kinetic flurry of beautiful violence.”  Fight your nightmares, defeat the false god. Do it now!

OVIVO.  Does that mean anything to you?  No? Is that because the name is obscured in illusion and hidden messages? BAM, you just got OVIVO’d. Well, kind of at least.  OVIVO is a platformer where you’ll take control of “OVO (who) was born of two halves and has the ability to switch between them. OVO travels through the metaphorical world, overcoming dangers and collecting mysterious symbols. These symbols will help you unravel the story of this world, but how you interpret it is completely up to you.”  The stylized graphics also look pretty freakin’ cool.

Bus Fix 2019

Don’t you just hate it when your bus breaks down? I know I do, and I don’t even have a bus.  If you’re like me, and broken down buses just make you horn-honkingly mad, then maybe what you need is Bus Fix 2019. In Bus Fix 2019 get ready to “accept the repair buses orders. Diagnose, replace or fix damaged part of buses. Disassemble for example engine parts, chassis parts, tires. Buy new parts.” Be a pal, and fix the bus. People are counting on you!

As our last entry of New Games on Nintendo Switch This Week, if you missed the first Super Mario Maker, now is the best time to hop in and check out Super Mario Maker 2.  No Mustache Required! In Super Mario Maker 2 you’ll be able to “dive into the single-player Story Mode and play built-in courses to rebuild Princess Peach’s castle. Make your own courses or team up with a friend to make some together. And with a Nintendo Switch Online membership, share your courses, access a near-endless supply of courses made by others and enjoy online* multiplayer.” This will keep you hopping on turtle shells and eating mushrooms far past their expiration date for many, many weeks!
