New World - Developer Diary Welcomes Players to Aeternum

Amazon’s sandbox MMORPG New World receives more and more details as the release date approaches. The team has released the first developer diary to welcome players to New World and a mysterious island called Aeternum. A curious mineral called Azoth runs just below the earth. Players can use its magical properties to amplify things.

As you explore Aeternum, you will discover beauty, danger, and opportunity at every turn. Bend the wilds to your will by hunting fierce beasts for food and crafting materials and harvesting valuable resources from the land to fuel your ascent to power. Leverage geographic advantages to control rare resources to accelerate the growth of your territory.

New World does not feature classes with the progression of the characters being defined by the weapons and equipment. Players will have a lot of freedom of choosing what to do and how to do it.
