The team behind MMORPG New World shared a new developer video to introduce players to the latest weapon that is to be added in the Rise of the Angry Earth expansion. Are you ready for the Flail? “The Flail is a versatile one-handed weapon with the option for an offhand shield. Use arcane magic to enhance its attacks and buff allies or debuff enemies to aid in victory. Through a combination of melee, arcane magic, and strong defenses, the wielder can bolster their group’s effectiveness without having to drop the offensive.”
Over 11 minutes the team goes through a variety of topics related to the equipment: why did the choice fall on the flail out of all the possible available options; the decisions behind the sound design and aesthetics; weapon scaling, animations and ability trees, and much more. Rise of Angry Earth is slated to arrive on October 3rd, bringing along massive changes to the game. In addition to the Flail, players can also look forward to mounts, new story, new progression, new gear rarity, transformed Elysian Wilds zone and much more. There will also be Season 3 content, including a new Season Pass, Influence Races, new main storyline quest revamp, and ward/bane/resilience/expertise removal.
