Bandai Namco has introduced several different special editions of Ni No Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom. In addition, details of the game’s Season Pass were revealed.
Ni No Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom
The game is set for release on January 19, 2018 for both PlayStation 4 and PC/Steam. Players will be able to choose one of three editions:
- Day 1 Edition – $59.99 – including game software and Special Sword Set DLC
- Premium Edition – $79.99 – including Day 1 content as well as a steelbook case, a papercraft kit, a DLC sword and a music CD
- Collector’s Edition – $199.99 – including all of the above as well as an art book, a “chibi mechanical rotating diorama”, a plush, a “making-of” Blu-Ray, a papercraft display case and the Season Pass
Speaking of the Season Pass, players will also be able to pick one up for $19.99. It includes 2 more DLC that are as-yet unknown as well as a supply kit. The latter contains “a healthy heaping of items”.
Ni No Kuni II is the brand new sequel in the Ni No Kuni series, and the first game to be launched on the PlayStation 4 and PC. The story follows King Evan Pettiwhisker Tildrum, who is usurped from his castle, and sets out to reclaim his kingdom. He is aided by Roland, a visitor from another world. Combat seems to have received a big upgrade too, as early reports are focusing on the improved pacing and responsiveness. We can’t wait to see for ourselves.
