Ninja Season 9 Brings Brash New Battles, Visual Lobby, And More In March

GungHo Entertainment is set to drop a new round of bubblegum battles as Ninjala gets set for Season 9 next month.

Due to kick its way onto the Nintendo Switch on 10 March, Ninjala’s 9th season is set to be another explosive battle for supremacy, littered with a ton of new updates to this bright brawler. The latest developer diary from GungHo has dropped, revealing details of a new visual lobby, new game modes, tournaments, and a chance to grab plenty of extra XP.

When Season 9 arrives, players will have an opportunity to log in game time for additional XP as the WNA Level Up Matsuri begins. This will add a 1.5 x multiplier to normal experience gain, and anybody who reaches level 100 will grab two new BGMs.

Like most seasons, you can expect a tournament arc of your own, with an exclusive title and Jala for the top 500 players. A total of 10,000 Jala awaits the winner, as well as some serious bragging rights.

While the top-tier titles might be exclusive, everybody can experience the new visual lobby map. The WNA Resort will provide a new environment for players to show off the wares they’ve won during previous tournaments, and look fashionable with their cash shop clothing. Once in the game, players will also have the opportunity to fight in two new battle modes. Last Ninja Standing and Turf Match modes are now permanent additions to Room Battles, rather than being limited to Featured Battles.

Since this update seems to be about bringing bonus content to the masses, GungHo has also added a 7-day log-in bonus that should give players plenty of free Jala to celebrate the start of season 9. To check out the full run down of what’s coming, see the full developer diary above or head over the official Ninjala website now.
